Personality:

She’s a gruff, bold individual who is very set on following the path she feels is right and just. She’s also bit callous and does not express light-hearted emotions very well, but once you earn her trust, she treats you like a pal, and will always have your back. She prefers structure and does her best to uphold the law; the only time she appreciates rebellion is if it’s against corruption. She values integrity, loyalty, and courage, and admires people who display these traits. She dislikes thieves and anarchists, but does her best to respect them, since she values respect so much. She can be rather forward in conversation, but always respects who she’s talking to. She loves helping people in any way she can, and is a very good listener.

History/Description:

Nix has no memory of her parents; she was abandoned at the doorstep of a small Wood Elf family in Whitetree when she was just months old, and was raised there. There was no note, only a small, smooth, palm-sized stone with the name “Nix” carved into it. The family that took her in, the Curellions, were a family of retired Warriors and Guardians, and thus, had a huge impact on her career choice. The Curellions were not the only family to help raise her, however; due to the strong sense of community and neighborly attitude, many of the residents of Whitetree took it upon themselves to impart wisdom and knowledge into Nix’s life.

Despite the love and support she received, Nix always felt that she didn’t belong there. Starting from when she was 16 years old, she began to go on trips to the Miriellus Kingdom mainland, usually to Colhven or the Vale, not to seek her parents, but to build a life for herself. She became more and more distanced from the kind people of Whitetree, but wrote letters to them often, telling of her adventures; the people she met and the places she’d seen. Eventually she made her way to larger cties such as North Point, East Point, and even the great city of Miriellus itself. East Point had the largest impact on her, however. There, Nix was introduced to a fast-paced, slightly harsh culture and lifestyle, which was unfamiliar to her. It was here that Nix developed a tougher, more rugged personality to avoid being cheated, mugged, or taken advantage of.

She then decided to settle in East Point because there was more opportunity for work there, and more opportunity to help those in need. She still writes to the Curellions and visits them every so often, which is a nice break from the bustling town.

Additional Info:

    ·         Nix will often offer her services free of charge to anyone who can’t afford it.

    ·         She avoids thinking about her parents’ reasons for abandoning her and tells herself that she doesn’t want to find out, even though she really would like to know.

    ·         The topic of her parents is a sore subject, and she doesn’t like talking about it.

    ·         It takes a lot to get Nix to open up, but she will if she really trusts you.

    ·         Nix feels a little guilty for leaving the people of Whitetree; she feels that it was selfish of her.

    ·         Nix wakes up early to train every day, and will also train to blow off steam.

    ·         She is most skilled with her Elvish broadsword, given to her by one of the Curellions, and secretly named it Animus.

    ·         She carries her Apello Stone (the smooth stone with her name on it) with her everywhere she goes, even though it serves as a sad reminder of her past.
    ·         Nix doesn't drink alcohol; she views it as a danger and a distraction. This will not stop her, however, from visiting taverns to in search of employment or to meet up with friends.
